Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic disease which is female predominant and begins in general in relatively young people. The evolution of the disease varies from one patient to another, may be moderate to severe and affects a variable number of joints. In addition, rheumatoid arthritis may have extra-articular manifestations and affect other body parts like skin, eyes and lungs. It thus alters the quality of life of the patient to a greater or lesser extent and can even result in a significant physical disability. The management of rheumatoid arthritis requires regular monitoring and a long-term treatment.
